We only spent a day here as we\'re not skiers but it was a great little place to stop and check out the shops and nick nacks, gaze at the snow and generally get a feel for the place.
Obviously a ski resort and primarily for skiing, we noticed a lot of walking tracks too, obviously for the summer months.
NIce place to visit for a picnic if you\'re not a skiier but want to be around the buzz and enjoy some spectacular Australian snow scenery.

Great town with lots happening in the ski season. A good place to base yourself while going skiing in the Kosciosko skiifields

A real alpine party town and one of the few reasons why Aussies dont go to NZ for all their skiing, great for young people on a budget

A great place to go to go skiing. The place to hang out is the Station resort. Lots of young people, great bar, lots to do. Haven\'t been there for a while though.

There is nothing like an alpine mountain town filled with families and young people and all the assorted festivals etc that you find. This is Australia\'s Queenstown.

Jindabyne itself I found quite boring, lots of boutique shops, one major supermarket that I was aware of. However, the people were a laugh. Lots of different characters and good for a night out. Maybe a good pitstop before the skiing starts.

Great place to base yourself if you are going skiing. A shuttle bus operates throughout the day every hour to get you to and from the ski fields.

Great place to stay if you\'re skiing for a weekend or bushwalking in summer. Plenty of affordable accommodation only 25 mins from Thredbo or Perisher. Plenty of restaurants and a supermarket, not to mention the famous bowl.

6 hours drive from Sydney or 7 hours from Melbourne, partake in abseiling or horse riding if not there for the snow season.

Jindaybyne is usually the budget and family accomodation for the ski fields. As it\'s outside the Kosciuszko National Park you can choose whatever skifield you like without being tied to one resort.

Stop here on the way in and out to the ski fields. The lake is a nice area for a walk, weather dependent.

Great place to base yourself for the Ski fields. Busy in Winter with great nightlife or in summer quite and relaxing, with alot of activities.
