Beechworth is on the Victorian side of the Snowy Mountains and its soil is rich and fertile. Many fruit trees and hops trees are grown there, including tobacco and Vineyards. Not far away are ski resorts and trout fishing.

Classified as historically important the whole town of Beechworth is a slice of history- especially for Kelly Buffs and gold historians. Beechworth is a laid back town with some goodplaces to eat.
